        I'm a teacher in West Texas and would like to know how I can get
some information on solar energy components to use in my classes.  I don't
seems to be able to find much of that sort of thing in local stores.  I
could use some help.

        One of the best mail order places is Edmunds Scientific,
1-609-573-6250.   Also you might want to contact Russel Smith (TRIEA)
about the TEED program and Farley Halverson (TXSES) about the Solar Power-Up
project.  TEED is a program that allows students to work on energy related
projects and Solar Power-Up is a program that has students build and race
small solar powered cars.
