Solar Installation Workshop/One House at a Time- Austin

 
1House At A Time, in partnership with Texas Solar Power Company, is very proud to announce our premier solar installation workshop benefiting a low income client of Meals on Wheels and More of Austin! If you are interested in learning about solar power, seeking future employment in the booming solar industry, or a homeowner or business owner interested in installing a solar photovoltaic system of your own , this is the event for you! Our workshop will provide you the opportunity to understand the basics of installing and operating a residential-scale grid-tied solar photovoltaic system and participate in an actual installation. So don’t miss this awesome opportunity to learn and help out your fellow Austinites!

Attendees will learn how to:

· Implement energy efficiency & conservation strategies in their own homes
· Perform a load analysis for a home or business
· Identify system components: wire, disconnects, and over-current protection
· Learn advantages/disadvantages of installing a solar photovoltaic system
· Perform site & cost benefit analysis including what are your available financial incentives

*Fee includes the course workbooks as well as drinks and snacks. Please pack a lunch.

Cost : Early Bird Registration Class Fee is $100 until March 1, 2009. Fee is $150 after March 1st.
