June Topic: 2009 LEGISLATIVE SESSION & THE TEXAS SOLAR INDUSTRY

Renewable Energy is a hot topic in the current legislative session with almost 70 targeted to change the landscape of renewable energy in Texas. June 1st marks the end of the legislative session and on Saturday June 6th we will be providing a summary, analysis, and recap of all the bills relating to solar energy (both passing and failing). We will also provide an update on the latest developments of the American Recovery and Reinvestment And (i.e.Stimulus Bill) and the expected tax implications as they pertain to local rebates. Also presenting, a guest speaker from Austin Energy will provide an overview of the rebate opportunity for both residential and commercial solar installations in the city limits.

Time: 9am to 12pm – we plan to get a lot done in three hours – be ready. For the Seminar, bring a pen and notebook. You don’t need to have a laptop computer.
