Come out and celebrate the arrival of Spring at our next Solar Austin Happy Hour! This month, we're pleased to present our featured speaker, Colin Meehan, Renewable Energy Specialist for the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF).

In his presentation Colin will discuss:
• EDF's background and history of working with businesses toward positive environmental outcomes
• The Pecan Street Project & other local clean energy initiatives
• The state of renewable energy legislation & regulation in Texas
• What the Solar Industry should be thinking about to move Texas forward more quickly.

Bio:
Colin Meehan helps develop projects and policies to promote renewable energy development at the utility, industrial and retail levels in Texas and other regions of the U.S. He helps lead EDF's multi-year campaign to significantly increase the use of renewable energy throughout the nation. Before joining EDF, Colin worked for:

• The Lower Colorado River Authority doing energy settlement analysis and nodal market implementation,
• ICF International analyzing the economic impact of renewable energy and energy emissions policies and investment strategies in unregulated and regulated markets, and
• The U.S. Coast Guard in Washington, D.C. doing policy development and analysis.
