Jake Stewart presents: Big Problems, Localized Solutions
Climate Change, the Economy and Energy Security are big problems that are converging to generate broad-based demand for a 'new energy economy'. From the city that makes its own fuel to smart grids and renewable energy technology development, the opportunities have never been greater to address multiple big-picture problems with distributed sustainable solutions. This presentation will explore the big picture with real-world case studies of how the local model is well-suited to address these complex issues with sustainable development and integrated renewable energy models. It will highlight how renewable energy and energy efficiency implementation are central to solving the climate change challenge. Mr. Stewart just returned from the Copenhagen Climate Summit and will provide an update and perspective on the successes, the failures and potential path forward.
